What is the Bob Ross Technique?
It is a wet-on-wet painting method using oils. Before painting, a thin oil paint is applied to the canvas. Due to the wet canvas, the thicker oil paint can be moved and blended directly on the canvas. This is the reason the wet-on-wet technique is so quick. Students take home a completed painting in only three hours.
What Happens During Class?
When a student arrives for class, his or her painting space is prepared with a canvas, easel, and the necessary painting supplies. I take students step-by-step through the entire painting, showing techniques and giving tips. After class, each student takes home his or her completed painting.
Who Can Take a Class?
This technique is great for beginners wanting to try painting for the first time. It can also be a great challenge for even the most experienced artist. All Levels are welcome.
How Long Do Paintings Take to Dry?
Paintings generally dry within one week. However, paintings with large amounts of white can take up to two weeks to dry completely. Paintings with brown tones generally dry within a few days.
How Can I Pay?
Cash, check, or credit card. If you are paying by cash or check, payments can be made at class. If you choose to pay by credit card, funds must be received prior to class. I can send an invoice via paypal to your email address and you can pay the amount, based on class size, with any major credit card.
Fees:
one-on-one $100
group of two to four $75 ea
